Bird Tattoo

This snapshot has been taken at a James Yorkston concert, for whom I illustrated an album cover in 2006. I was delighted to see that one of the birds from the illustration is now a tattoo.

Marchmont Gallery

Belatedly some shots from the Marchmont Gallery. Fellow printmaker Rosie Walters and myself were chosen to be artists of the month and our work was displayed in the gallery throughout August.

What Counts?

Here are some pictures of a commission I have been working on this year for postgraduate Rosa Martens from the Netherlands. Rosa's thesis, titled 'What counts? Cognitive Development and Arithmetical Performance. The Role of Child- and Environment-Related Factors' is published by Neuropsych Publishers. I hugely enjoyed working on this project and the challenge of coming up with illustrations for such a complex subject, especially since it deals with issues relating to childhood. The commission included a cover illustration and 7 chapter illustrations.

Curiouser and Curiouser news

Recently I designed a small series of greeting cards for Edinburgh based gallery Curiouser and Curiouser. The gallery asked a group of illustrators to contribute some designs for a range of original cards and includes work from Eleni Kalorkoti, Kate McLelland  and many more.
The greeting cards can be purchased from Curiouser and Curiouser as well as from many other shops across the UK and beyond. For more information just take a look at the Curiouser web page.
